MadWay Rally convoy of Mad Max style vehicles on a mountain road with snowy peaks behind

Where the road ends MadWay Rally begins

An adrenaline-pumping journey where drivers race custom-built machines through a post-apocalyptic scene — from frozen Baikal to the dunes of Namibia.

why we ride

A rally that calls for peace

Nowadays there are too many armed conflicts in the world. If they aren't resolved, humanity could find a future without hope — living in a post-apocalyptic world is more real than we might think. That's why MadWay Rally advocates for global peace.

Participants have already traveled thousands of kilometers across Mongolia, Lake Baikal, Altai, Kyrgyzstan, China, Namibia and South Africa in souped-up cars — modified to go faster and handle better than anything else on the road.

the machines

Not your typical car project

MadWay Rally custom car with spikes and armor against snowy mountains

Large engines, exposed exhaust pipes, intimidating spikes and armor. Every car is built to an individual project from pipes, plumbing elements and scrap metal — deep in Siberia, by mechanics who work like mad scientists.

Take the two-story car that ruled the Baikal ice but overheated in the Altai mountains — the crew simply cut a hole in the hood for airflow and kept going.

The founders

Alexey Gubarev & Anna Gubareva

Cyprus · entrepreneurs · road warriors · about Alexey Gubarev →

It started in 2016, when Alexey stumbled upon a video of fearless Englishmen tackling frozen Lake Baikal on sled-towing motorcycles. To him it was a call to arms. In 2017 he and Anna organized a race across the ice-covered lake — and after watching Jackie Chan tear across the Gobi Desert, there was no turning back.

The first custom cars were tested on Baikal ice in February 2018 — and MadWay Rally was born: an epic journey through the most challenging terrain on the planet.
